Rawalpindi: Punjab government has issued directives to build special parks for special children in all the big cities of the province including Rawalpindi.
As per media reports, The Punjab government directed to build the parks for special children in central areas of all the big cities of province and to make sure that all steps are taken to provide social training besides extending all recreational facilities to them so that instead of ignoring them, they could be integrated into national mainstream to become part of the civil society.
According to an official of Special Education Centre Rawalpindi, the training of tree planting and looking after them will also be imparted to the special children in those parks too. The Governments wants to treat the special children having minor disabilities like normal children to allay their sense of deprivation and enhance their self-esteem and courage.
