ET led by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani conducted hearing of the petition filed by Imran Khan against rejection of his nomination papers Thursday in Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Babar Awan counsel for Imran Khan took the plea that Imran Khan is chairman of the largest political party of the country who is struggling for the fundamental rights of the people. He filed nomination papers for contesting election in NA-53. On June 19, Imran nomination papers were rejected on weak points.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani inquired why RO declared Imran disqualified .

It is requested that RO decision be set aside and nomination papers of Imran Khan be accepted.
Appellate tribunal while issuing notice to RO has directed him to present complete record till today (FRIDAY).
The hearing of Imran Khan petition will take place today.
Later Babar Awan while talking to media men said RO decision is inequitable and against the norms of justice. Imran Khan will become MNA from NA-53 as well as Prime Minister.
He held that it is mentioned in Election act that RO should remove technical errors. Imran Khan will also file appeal plea against rejection of his nomination papers in Mianwali.
He demanded that governors of all the provinces should be removed.
