Karachi: Supreme Court Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Wednesday expressed resentment over Axact Chief Executive Shoaib Sheikh’s failure to comply with the court order and warned that a contempt of court case will be filed against him if he failed to deposit Rs 100 in account.
The hearing of the case was held at the Karachi Registry of the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
As hearning started, Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar remarked how long you (Shoaib Sheikh) will make attempts to influence the case, adding that the court will not spare you.
The chief justice remarked targeting Shoaib Sheikh that you are not more powerful than the law and court.
The top court judge asked from Shoaib Sheikh’s council Shahab Sarke did your client deposited Rs100 in bank account, adding the case will be heard after the said money will be transferred in the bank account.
Sheikh’s lawyer informed the court that his client is ready to deposit the said money but wants some time for it. The council prayed for three weeks time. Responding to the council, the top court judge said that they were saying that they have lots of money and where is that money now.
However, the court gave two weeks time for the submission of money. The court warned that the money should be deposited within two weeks; otherwise, the court will file a contempt of court case against him.
The chief justice also barred Shoaib Sheikh from leaving the country.
