Lahore: The Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Professor Hasan Askari has said that the Interim set up was committed to discharge its national obligation towards holding “free and fair elections”.
He vowed to provide “level playing field” to all the political parties adding administration will discharge its responsibility impartially across the province.
“The administration will render its responsibilities with impartiality and work under the framework set by Election Commission of Pakistan”.
Maintaining law and order is must for the sake of free and fair elections , he held. Democracy and National Institutions will gain strength due to transparent and fair election, he remarked.
The Interim Government will work for stipulated period and within limited mandate, he said. “During the election a balance will be maintained among political parties , he added.
