KARACHI: A sixteen-member squad for Pakistan’s Disabled team tour of England was announced on Thursday first class cricketer and chief selector Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) Iqbal Imam with the approval of former Pakistan captain and president PDCA Rashid Latif.
Speaking at a news conference here at PCB Regional Academy, National Stadium on Thursday in connection with Pakistan team’s participation in the Tri-nation Disabled Cricket series being held in around Worcestershire would be hosted by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) from July 8 to 13. The final would be played on July 13 at New Road. England, Pakistan and Bangladesh will be taking part in the series.
Iqbal said. The selection of Pakistan disabled team was very difficult because Pakistan have bunch of talented players they performed well in domestic and international levels. Butt finally selection comes after players took part in a three-day trials camp in Rawalpindi stadium, overseen by head coach Sabih Azhar, along with Iqbal Imam, member selection committee Mohammad Jawed, Javed Asraf and secretary PDCA Amir uddin Ansari.
Petron Pakistan Disable Cricket Association (PDCA),.Saleem Karim, Hon. Secretary PDCA Amir uddin Ansari, Former Test Cricketer Iqbal Qasim, Bowling Coach Mohammad Jawed and PDCA Media Manager Mohammad Nizam also spoke on the occasion.
