Pak, Turkey Army Chiefs discuss regional security
RAWALPINDI: Turkish Chief of General Staff General Hulusi Akar called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Thursday.
Both sides discussed areas of mutual interest, military to military relations, regional security and measures to further enhance bilateral defence cooperation.
Visiting dignitary acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan Army’s sincere efforts and sacrifices in war against terrorism and for stability in the region.
Army Chief thanked Turkish Chief of General Staff for his country’s unflinching support to Pakistan as recently illustrated in FATF forum.
Turkish CGS also laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates also called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest.
They discussed projects under UAE Pakistan Assistance Program.
An agreement was signed on the occasion to start projects of social development in far flung areas of Pakistan.
