Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The former prime minister and president of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan on Thursday denounced in strong terms the unprovoked shelling by Indian troops in AJK’s Barnal sector saying that the India has crossed all limits of barbarism and savagery by killing innocent civilians.

Terming Indian belligerence as a threat to regional peace Khan said that India has opened multiple fronts against Pakistan. Talking to journalists here at his party office the former premier said that international community must take effective cognizance of the situation in the region besides holding India accountable for the crimes its forces have committed against the unarmed and defenseless people in held Kashmir. He said that India has converted the occupied territory into military garrison where human rights violations were at peak. He said that India was using excessive force against the peaceful protesters in Kashmir. “The use of pellet gun is a blatant violation of international law”, he said adding that killing and blinding people was worst form of terrorism.

Urging the international community to stop bloodbath of innocent Kashmiris Khan said that Indian highhandedness and belligerent attitude was a threat to peace and stability in south Asia. He said that for lasting peace in the region, resolution of Kashmir dispute was imperative.
