LONDON: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbassi is representing Pakistan in the 25th meeting of Commonwealth Heads of government which is continuing in London.

On the second day today, the Prime Minister will participate in the retreat sessions and hold important meetings with world leaders.

The retreat sessions will hold discussions on the challenges of 21st century and other topics such as health and sustainable development.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has underlined the imperative need of ensuring justice for the people of occupied lands who continued to be subjected to state sponsored oppression.

Interacting with several leaders on the sidelines of the Commonwealth summit in London, he said that the shared goal of shaping peaceful societies will remain elusive without guaranteeing fundamental freedoms and resolving disputes.

The Prime Minister also cautioned against indulgence in blame games and politicization for domestic and external goals and said such steps are not conducive to address the scourge of terrorism.

He also highlighted connectivity in the context of enhancing trade and investment describing CPEC as a model for prosperity nationally and regionally.

The Prime Minister called for an equitable and inclusive multilateral trade system and advocated the need for pathways to greater regular migration.
