Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has remarked “ I have killed the snake in my inner self and due to it several problems have been sorted out.
He further re marked “ the snake bit and said “ this was said that was said. I have tried for one year. I have taken out this snake.
The CJP gave these remarks while presiding over a 3 members bench of Supreme Court (SC) during the course of hearing of Media Commission case here Thursday.
The CJP inquired we will further hear the case on Monday. Now tell us what amendment has been proposed.
Additional Attorney General (AAG) told the court PEMRA section 5 will be kept in conformity with article 19.
Senior journalist Hamid Mir told the court “ I had told the court a day before I have no conflict with any one.
The CJP inquired you think judiciary has some clash.
Hamid Mir said “ no clash on the part of judiciary can occur at any cost.
Absar Alam told the court that there is issue of 6 anchors out of 26 channels. Conflict arises always on the code of conduct. It was said that Absar Alam gave draft bill of black laws to committees. 30 years imprisonment was proposed. Have I no respect.
CJP remarked “what can we say. All was said by your community. Talk to them on your own. We will not come in the small issues. I have killed the snake from my inner self.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till Thursday.
