ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has remarked let the government do its job and if no positive headway is made in the matter of appointment of heads then we will see it.
While remarking on his meeting with Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, CJP said now headway will be made on the matters on fast track basis and no summary will stop.
A 3-member bench of Supreme Court (SC) presided over by CJP Mian Saqib Nisar took up for hearing facilities in federal hospitals case Wednesday.
Additional Attorney General (AAG) told the court work is being done on court’s orders speedily. Summary on appointment of heads of PIMS and other hospitals will be forwarded to the cabinet again. Cabinet will accord approval to it.
Without naming PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, CJP remarked with reference to his meeting with the former that now headway will be made on fast track basis in the matters and no summary will stop now.
The petitioner complained about induction of doctors on administrative posts, the CJP remarked “ I think that there should be doctors for the administrative matters of hospitals. Secretary should be a doctor as well. Let the government do its job. Later we will see good people have been appointed or otherwise.
Addressing secretary CADD, CJP remarked “ there should be positive headway on the matter. If no headway is made then we will appoint good people as heads. Later the government will make regular appointments.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case for one week.
