SANGLA HILL: Maryam Nawaz the daughter of deposed premier Muhammad Nawaz Sharief would be presented a gold crown embellished with a glint ruby and diamonds upon her arrival at Tehsil Sangla Hill in district Nankana Sahib on Sunday March 18 at Sangla Hill Stadium.
The PML-N stalwart Mian Ejaz Hussain Bhatti veteran political figure of PP -170 would present the precious gift to Maryam Nawaz who is set to address the procession of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz ( PML-N) at Sangla Hill where arrangements have been given final shape to accord warm welcome to the visiting leader. A large number of people are expected to take part in this procession, which would be addressed by Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharie, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgat & Baltistan Mr. Muhammad Barjees Tahir and other party leaders.
Pertinently, Nawaz Sharif visited at Sangla Hill many times and announced a number of development projects for the areas. But his last promise to upgrade this Tehsil into District is still a distant dream as there has been no progress on the matter. Residents of Shangala want this slogan of up-gradation of Tehsil to district should be materialized during the incumbent government’s tenure.
Masses of NA-135 voiced that Sangla Hill City is the center of five districts namely Faisalabad, Nankana Sahib, Hafiz Abad, Chiniot and Sheikhupure that are approximately on equal distances but since the birth of Pakistan people of the area are still awaiting for the provision of better road facility. “There was a need of upgrading the road to Pindi Bhattian interchanges via Kot Nehkka instead making a new interchange via Village Pandorian”, a local resident said while talking to this correspondent.
“Sangla Hill may be linked with motorway to go Faisalabad via Sahianwala interchange, Sangla Hill Can be linked with Sukhikey interchange to go to Lahore and same way Sangla Hill Can be linked with Pindi Bhattian interchange to go to Islamabad”, he said adding that this huge amount of money could be used to maintain sangla Hill interior and exterior outlook.
