Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) newly elected Senator Ch. Muhammad Sarwar has brought forth proof of withdrawal of British nationality before the media. He also issued the letter of UK border agency regarding his dual nationality.
According to details issued to media, Sarwar applied for withdrawal of British nationality on 2 July 2013, before UK border agency, while agency confirmed his request on 18 July 2013.
Notification of UK border agency has also been released to media. Sarwar further told, I has submitted my UK passport after leaving nationality in 2013 when I became Governor Punjab. I’ve only Pakistani passport.
