Islamabad:(Parliament Times) Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PM AJK) Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan called on Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Maryum Aurangzaib here on Thursday.
Federal Minister for Information as representative of federal government expressed full support to empower the State government including abolishment of Kashmir council and amendments in AJK interim constitution Act 1974.
Both the leaders discussed in detailed on the matters regarding welfare of Journalists, Kashmir freedom of movement, AJK radio, AJK TV and others.
PM AJK in the meeting admired the efforts and initiatives being taken by the federal government to empower the State government, saying that the whole Kashmiri nation welcomed the stance to strengthen AJK Assembly and it has given a positive message on the other side of Line of Control.
PM AJK lamented that India has started targeting the population on the LOC, which is the worst aggression by Indian armed forces.
“India is trying to create large-scale displacement of people by targeting civilian population on LOC, this is just to divert world’s attention from the atrocities in occupied Kashmir” he maintained.
He said that on-going struggle in occupied Kashmir is for the liberation from Indian occupation.
Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister Marrium Aurangzaib said that Pakistan will continue their political, diplomatic and moral support on Kashmiri issue.
Federal Minister for Information strongly condemned the civilian casualties on the Line of Control in severe words.
She said that Kashmiris are engaged in struggle of freedom and are determined to implement UN resolutions.
India is committing serious human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and global community and human rights organizations must take stern notice on these brutal acts of Indian armed forces.
