The Pakistan Army destroyed an Indian post after it targetted a minor in Jajot village. The Inter-Services Public Relations said that an eight-year-old boy Ayan was killed in Indian firing along the Line of Control. The army’s retaliatory action killed two Indian soldiers, the ISPR added. Pakistan army’s media cell denounced Indian brutality, condemning the use of pellet guns in Indian-occupied Kashmir. DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said that the blatant targeting of innocent unarmed civilians across the LoC exposes the true Indian face. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry summoned Indian diplomat JP Singh and lodged a protest with India. Dr Mohammad Faisal urged the Indian side to respect the 2003 Ceasefire arrangement and investigate this and other incidents of ceasefire violations. He also instructed the Indian forces to respect the ceasefire, in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the LoC and the Working Boundary. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had strongly condemned targeting of the school van by Indian forces across the Line of Control. The prime minister said such unprovoked and unethical acts had exposed the real face of India, which continues to violate Geneva Convention by targeting innocent schoolchildren. PM AJK also called on the United Nations and world leaders to help resolve the Kashmir issue. India was targeting the civilian living along the LoC and the United Nations should take notice of such criminal activities, he said while talking to a private news channel. Pakistan has been trying to engage India in dialogue to defuse tension but India is defiant to stay away from the talks table. New Delhi is also not ready to discuss Kashmir. India had never shown seriousness to resolve all outstanding issues including the Kashmir issue which was a threat to peace in the region. India must avoid the provocative and aggressive attitude against Pakistan. The people of Pakistan stand by the valiant armed forces to give a befitting response to any aggression. The Government should take up this matter at all international forum and expose the malicious intent and aggressive role of India. Escalation in tension at LoC is not in the interest of region and steps should be taken to reduce tensions because civilization population suffers badly due to cross border shelling.
