Peshawar: Chief Minister KPK Pervez Khattak has said Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should adopt the procedure of show of hand instead of secret balloting in upcoming Senate polls.
He said this, while talking to a delegation of media persons from federal capital who visited provincial capital on Tuesday.
He said that in this connection that has written a letter to Election Commission .PTI would succeed to win 6 seats of Senate in upcoming Senate polls adding that 49 votes are required for general seat and 43 for technocrat and woman seat while we have 64 members.
“By the grace of Allah Almighty PTI’s government of KP has changed the province despite of limited sources, major reforms have been introduced in every walk of life whether it is education, health, legislation and corruption and purge the police from politics”, he added.
Highlighting the performance of his government Pervez Khattak said that when PTI has resumed the charge of the province approximately 90% roads were dilapidated and even the tenders for these roads were sold. The commission mafia has made the development projects substandard adding that PTI’s government has introduced the better and transparent system in development projects including construction of roads.
He said that our government has prioritized the healthcare and education facilities instead of red and yellow passenger buses like Punjab government.
He said that government has provided facilities to approximately 28 thousand schools of the province including modern furniture and others. Over 45 thousand teachers were recruited through NTS and installed monitoring system in schools due to which their performance has too much improved.
“As many as 35 thousand doctors were in the province now number of doctors is 8 thousand and their salary package is about Rs 2 lac. Introduced monitoring system in hospitals to ensure the attendance of doctors and other para medical staff to facilitate the masses”, he explained.
Pervez Khattak has alleged that federal government is main hurdle in development projects of KPk. Our government wants to generat cheap electricity but federal government is not willing to purchase it.
He said that five districts of KP are being connected under CPEC project due to which people of Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsada and Chakdara would be facilitated.
