Rawalpindi: The Benazir Bhutto Hospital doctors have totally ignored the directions of Provincial administration regarding duty timing as majority of patients at Hospital were facing problems in getting medical treatment because of non-availability of doctors during duty timing.
The sources have disclosed that even the provincial government established committees and hospital administration have badly failed to make routine of hospital’s doctors.The Punjab government had issued directions that all government hospital’s OPD would be operated and provides medical treatment to patients from 8am to 3pm without any break and it had also constituted committees for monitoring this. Sources stated that most of the doctors of Benazir Bhutto Hospital were not following the duty timings and came late as large number patients witnessed waiting outside the rooms. When inquire from them they claimed that that were providing treatment to all indoor patients on time. However the ground situation was telling other story.
When “Online” contacted Medical Superintendent Admin Masood Safdar he stated that hospital’s OPD was working from 8am to 3pm without any break and added they strictly following the directions of Punjab government in this regard.
