Rawalpindi : Former leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nehal Hashmi could not spend one night in jail as he on Friday was admitted to Rawalpindi Cardiology Center from Adiala Jail after he felt chest pain.
The jail officials took him to the hospital when he complained of severe pain in heart.
Earlier on Thursday, Supreme Court (SC) had rejected unconditional apology of Nehal Hashmi and sentenced him to one month in prison over contempt of court case against him.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Asif Khosa had also disqualified the accused for five years, asking him to submit Rs50,000 fine.
