Unemployment is an acute problem of Pakistan. It is very serious problem. The present state of unemployment is basically the outcome of fast spreading culture of bribery and chit-system (Safarish). Bribery and chit-system are by and large considered as effective tools to seek jobs in both public as well as private sector. This is one of the main reasons of surging unemployment rate in the country. Although we have an enormous lot of talented, intelligent, and skilled, graduates yet they do not get an opportunity to work and show their talent. The curse of bribery and chit-system has rendered this educated and talented youth of our country helpless.
Students after completing their degrees wander from pillar to the post to get jobs but unfortunately they do not get any response. In a state of despair and despondency they lose their passion and ultimately they are forced to curse the system while sitting back in their homes, or to move aboard for earning the livelihood.
Pakistan is fortunate enough to have valuable human capital, but unfortunately due to lack of opportunities most of students left the country. The issue of unemployment is one of the biggest problems in our country, but despite knowing its causes and its remedies people at the helm of affairs have not been unable to tackle the issue.
It becomes the constitutional obligation of the government, to devise and a proper policy and plans to solve this issue before it snowballs into something unmanageable.
