Rawalpindi: After nine years of case, Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench while stopping government institutes to sale 108 Kanals land ordered to allocate the land of Dhoke Syedan area for construction of school, college, hospital and play ground.
The decision was written by Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan after hearing petition in October 2017 which was read by Justice Khalid Mehmood previous day.
In the verdict, Military State office has been banned from selling of auctioning land worthy of billions of rupees.

Approving all the points raised by the applicant, the court ordered ministry for defence to take permission from the President regarding the land to follow the court orders and asked Punjab government to submit report regarding utilization of land for public purposes.
The petition was filed by President Ghazi Abad society, Muhammad Anwar Advocate and ministry for defence, relevant authorities, government of Punjab and secretary education were made parties.
Plaintiff told media that on behalf of residents, he had submitted application before the then Prime Minister, Yousaf Raza Gillani in 2009 demanding construction of public park on this land and this application was made part of petition afterwards.
He termed the decision as goodwill gesture as dream regarding construction of park would come true after the decision.
