RAWALPINDI: Teachers Associations have voiced strong concern against non regularization of 3500 educators from district Rawalpindi and non extension in their contract by the government besides deciding to launch protest movement against this injustice with teachers.
According to media reports 3500 educators were appointed on contract basis in 2012 at primary, middle, high and higher secondary schools in district Rawalpindi but they have neither been regularized nor have their contract been extended. The 5 years contract of these teachers has expired but they have not been regularized so far nor any extension has been given to them.
The teachers organizations have called upon chief minister Punjab, chief secretary and secretary schools education department to regularize the educators as soon as possible otherwise they will be forced to launch protest movement for acceptance of their demand.
