ISLAMABAD: (Parliament Times) Veteran journalist Wahid Baghi, who died due to cardiac arrest last night, was laid to rest at H-8 graveyard in Islamabad. His funeral prayer was held at National Press Club Islamabad and attended by large number of journalists and people from different walks of life.
He was currently working for an English local daily as a staff reporter. He has rendered great contributions for the freedom of expression and played active role in a movement led late journalist’s leader Minjhaj Barna for the rights of journalists. President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists Afzal butt, President National Press Club Shakeel Anjum, Chief Editor Parliament Times Javed Iqbal and others have expressed their grief and sorrow over the sudden demise of Wahid Baghi and prayed to Almighty God to let his soul rest in eternal peace. They have expressed solidarity with bereaved family.
