ISLAMABAD: The new spell of fog and snowfall has badly disrupted routine life in parts of the country.
According to details, the snowfall in Naran has caused difficulties for the tourists as routes leading to Babusar Pass and Saif-ul-Muluk Lake have been blocked. The tourist activities have been suspended for five months as administration has disallowed entry of tourists into the valley due to weather reasons.
The motorway has also been closed at various points due to dense fog whereas the drivers have been directed to take precautionary measures while traveling.
On the other hand, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country.
Met office said that continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. They predicted that mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. Foggy conditions are likely to prevail over few plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours.
No rainfall was recorded at any part of the country. Monday’s minimum temperature was recorded at Skardu and Astore where mercury dropped down to -09°C while in Lahore, maximum temperature was 21°C, minimum was 4.7°C and humidity level was 34 percent.
