Kala Shah Kaku: Three coaches of a Lahore-bound Khyber Mail passenger train derailed on Saturday near Sheikhupura’s Kala Shah Kaku area.
” No loss of life was reported in the incident, according to divisional superintendent (DS) Sufian Dogar,
Khyber Mail train was travelling from Peshawar to Lahore carrying 890 passengers when three of its coaches came off the rails near Kala Shah Kaku.
The derailment led to delays and disruptions on the railway track near Kala Shah Kaku.
Soon after the incident, a relief train was dispatched to the incident site to take the passengers of Khyber Mail to Lahore.
Similarly, five days ago on Monday, three bogies of a freight train derailed Shahdara railway station while being shifted from one track to another.
It pertinent to mention here that on 7 December the engine of Peshawar-bound Khushal Khan Khattak Express derailed near Attock City Railway Station, while no passenger was injured.
The railway authorities checked the safety of bogies after the engine was derailed.
The train was carrying more than 300 passengers.
