Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan on Thursday directed the authorities concerned to redouble its efforts and mobilize all available resources to clear the roads and highways which were blocked due to heavy rain and snowfall in the region.

Seeking a detailed report from relevant authorities regarding the status of roads the AJK PM said that all the blocked roads should be cleared on emergency basis to restore unhindered connectivity in the areas particularly in Poonch, Haveli, Neelum and Jehlum Valley districts that have witnessed season’s first snow fall a couple of days back. He said that all available resources should be utilized to clear roads to ensure essential supplies in the snow hit areas.

Meanwhile, the AJK PM visited the residence of Additional Chief Secretary Government of Azad Kashmir Farhat Ali Mir and condoled him over the sad demise of his elder brother Shoukat Aki Mir who passed away a couple of days back. While expressing his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family the AJK PM on the occasion offered Fathe and prays for the departed soul.
