Islamabad: Details of former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and his family’s three bank accounts were submitted in the court while record of the lockers under the minister and his wife’s names was also presented.
According to detail, accountability court on Thursday resumed hearing of assets beyond means case against Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar at Judicial Complex.
During the proceeding headed by Justice Mohammad Bashir, details of Ishaq Dar and his family’s three bank accounts were submitted in the court while record of the lockers under the minister and his wife’s names was also presented.
Meanwhile, prosecutor’s witness Azeem Khan, who is an officer at private bank, also recorded his statement in the case. He said National Accountability Bureau (NAB) asked him for details of Ishaq Dar’s accounts in August 2017.
Dar’s first bank account was opened during October 2001 to October 2012 while second one was registered between August 2012 and December 2016. Third account was active during January 2017 to August 2017.
On Monday, the court had declared Ishaq Dar an absconder in the reference over his continuous absence from the hearings. The court had also directed him to submit Rs5 million bail bonds.
Earlier, NAB prosecutor adopted stance that summon is not required to be sent to London as the suspect is aware of the entire court proceedings. He argued that Dar is not suffering from any heart disease while his every medical report differs from the previous one.
