ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Squash Federation on Wednesday announced that international squash tournaments will be held in the country after a span of nineteen years.

Pakistan Open men’s squash championship will be held in Islamabad from 17 to 24th December.

Wing Commander Tahir Sultan, secretary Pakistan Squash Federation said that Pakistan would host the event after 19 years.

Addressing a presser, Tahir Sultan said that he is apparently satisfied with the security arrangements in Pakistan.

Moreover, the Chief of Air Staff International Women’s championship is also starting from December 17 in Islamabad.

The tournament includes players of various countries including India, Hong Kong, Malaysia, France, Australia, America, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, and Iran will be seen in action.

The Pakistan Open men’s Prize will be $50,000, while Women Squash will earn $25,000.

An Indian woman squash player will be participating in the event as well.
