ISLAMABAD: Chairman NAB, Mr. Justice Javed Iqbal has sought complete details of Inquiries, Investigations and under trial Corruption References filed in the respective Accountability Courts by NAB and sought report from Operation and Prosecution Divisions of NAB. He sought the details of as many as 499 Inquiries 287 Investigations and 1,138 under trial corruption references filed by NAB in the respective Accountability Courts.

The Chairman NAB wanted to know that why these cases have not been concluded in 10 monthsprescribed time period as per NAB SOP and what action has been taken against the responsible officers on failure to conclude logically all under process cases within speculated time period as per law and have been sought about failure to inquire and investigate the cases.

He has directed the concerned Divisions of NAB to file an application for early hearing of 1138 under trial corruption reference so that over Rs. 900 billion looted money could be recovered from the corrupt, deposited in the national exchequer and the corrupt could be brought to justice as per law.
