Islamabad : Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui of Islamabad High Court (IHC) has remarked the intelligence agencies have made third attempt to close down capital.
He further remarked why our administration was debased. For how long this will continue with our state.
He gave these remarks during the course of hearing of 3 petitions filed against the protestors of Faizabad interchange sit in.
The court expressed resentment over non appearance of interior minister before it and ordered him to appear within 15 minutes.
Deputy Attorney General (DAG) Asad Kayani said interior minister has kept waking the whole night.
The learned judge inquired what he has been doing by waking up all over the night. State has said it does not want to launch operation.
Chief Commissioner Islamabad Zulfiqar Haider told the court agreement has been signed with the leadership of sit in.
The court remarked “ the court has not said that agreement should be signed . The court has only said that Faizabad interchange be got vacated. Has Faizabad interchange been vacated or otherwise.
Commissioner told the court all will be cleared after some time. Only one press conference is being awaited.
The learned judged remarked “what agreement has been reached should be read out. I have supported the truth. I don’t care if I am killed or I am included in the list of missing persons.
He further observed “who is army chief to become mediator. The army men who are fond of politics should quit army and come in politics. Where stands the becoming of mediator by an army officer in the constitution.
The judge while expressing resentment said is Qamar Bajwa out of the orbit of the constitution. How is he becoming mediator. This seems as if all has been done at his behest. For how long will it continue to be done so with the state.
The interior minister told the court it is hoped sit in will come to end.
Justice Shuakat Aziz Siddui remarked something was said about me too. I issued order as per constitution and I stand by it. What agreement you have signed.
The interior minister said it is hoped the issue will be resolved soon. There was civil war like situation in the country. It was being said about me who will kill me will be rewarded. What I have done I have done in the interest of the country.
The learned judge remarked why a person who was to be court-martialed was made mediator. Becoming mediator by any officer stands where in the perspective of constitution. Is Qamar Javed Bajwa above constitution. How can he become mediator. Report be submitted why the operation met failure.
The court adjourned the hearing of contempt of court case till December 04.
