Neelum: Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PM AJK) Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that Indian armed forces violate ceasefire agreement and resort to heavy shelling every so often to trigger large-scale displacement of local population across the line of control.
The AJK PM Raja Farooq Haider Khan said this while addressing Shuhada-e-Neelum (Martyrs of Neelum) Conference here on Thursday, which was organized in memorial of martyrs, who were gunned down last year near ‘Nagdar’ village of Neelum Valley when Indian Armed forces targeted the passenger vehicle they were boarding in. Speaker AJK legislative Assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir, Ministers Ch. Muhammad Aziz, Sardar Mir Akbar, Shaukat Ali Shah, Barrister Iftikhar Gillani, heirs of martyrs and a large number of people attended the conference.
“The motive behind this India’s nefarious plan to dislodge civilian population by generating administrative problems was to weaken the morale of Pak Army”, the PM said adding that 5 Lakh Kashmiris living along the Line of Control will stand shoulder to shoulder with our brave soldiers who were fully prepared and capable to respond befittingly against any kind of aggression.
Paying eulogizing tribute to martyrs the Prime Minister said that Indian Army set a worst example of violence by targeting a passenger bus and killed innocent civilians. “On one hand Indian armed forces have created havoc in IHK by inflicting atrocities on unarmed civilians while on the other they have been targeting civilian population across the line of control”. Prime Minister also admired the Bus Driver Raja Gulfam who saved many lives and announced to give him government job in reward for his bravery. “Regardless of injury and having bruises on his body, Raja Gulfam showed courage and steered the Bus to safe place and hence saved the lives of wounded” Prime Minister added.
Prime Minister said, “This conference has given a message to masses living on other side of LOC that they are not alone in their struggle for right to self-determination”. Lauding the bravery and courage of the people of Neelum, he said that India’s naked aggression on the LoC cannot beat the bravery and passion of the people of Neelum valley. The Prime Minister said we will hoist our flag soon on the other side of LOC.
Prime Minister on the occasion also announced the up gradation of main road from Kel to Taobat in next fiscal year; meanwhile, Prime Minister inaugurated Admin Block of District Complex Neelum at cost of 30.482 million furthermore set foundation stone for Water Supply Scheme for Neelum.
