Karachi: Some more revelations have come into light in the investigation process of murder case of Orangi town power project director Parveen Rehman.
According to media reports, it has been revealed that she was gunned down for reward money of Rs 40 Lac.
One of the held accused in Parveen Rehman murder case Amjad Hussain has confessed before Joint Investigation team (JIT) that suspects Rahim Swati and Awami National party regional leader Ayaz Swati were seeking land for construction of a Gym from Parveen Rehman but when she refused to do so, she was killed by a banned outfit in purpose of reward money.
Suspect further claimed that planning of Parveen murder was done at the house of Rahim Swati including himself, Ayaz Swati, Rahim Swati and Ahmad alias Pappu.
Rahim Swati made contact with banned outfit Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) regional members Musa and Mehfooz Ullah alias Bhalu and gave them a task of Parveen murder who were anyway agreed to do so in reward money of Rs 40 Lac.
Amjad further confessed that he along with other suspects also chased Parveen Rehman for almost two months and provided details to banned outfit.
Musa and Bhalu killed Parveen Rehman on March 23rd, 2013.
Banned outfit also made hand grenade attack at house of Rahim Swati for not giving reward money of Rs 40 Lac, suspect Amjad Hussain claimed.
It is vital to mention here that police had arrested key suspect Ahmad khan alias Pappu kashmiri involved in killing on March 18, 2015 from Mansehra while another suspect Rahim Swati was held from Mangopeer 8 months before.
Parveen Rehman, a media-shy social worker who devoted her life to the development of the impoverished neighborhoods across the country, was gunned down near her office in Karachi’s Orangi Town on March 13, 2013.
