ISLAMABAD: Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman informed the Senate today that 90 percent work on Fish Landing Jetty and Allied Harbor Facilities at Surbandar Gwadar has already been completed and remaining work would be completed during the current fiscal year.

Replying to a question during Question Hour, the Minister said the aim of the project is to provide basic facilities for berthing and handling of fishing vessels.

He said the project is being funded by the federal and Balochistan governments on a 80-20 per cent cost sharing basis.

He said the project would provide alternate harbor to the fishermen of the area.

Responding to a question, Baligh-ur-Rehman said that Pakistan has incurred direct and indirect losses in the war on terror.

The House has now been prorogued.
