Islamabad: At least two security personnel were martyred as a result of firing by some unknown armed men in Mardan.
According to media reports, two security personnel identified as Hawaldar Farhad Ali and Sepoy Nawaz Khan tried to stop a car near Shahgoga check post on Malakand road for checking when some unknown armed suspects, sitting in the vehicle opened fire upon them and fled. As a result both security officials died on the spot.
Heavy contingent of security forces reached the scene just after the incident and cordoned off the area for further search operation.
