Lahore : Governor Punjab Muhammad Rafique Rajwana has said that businesses should be revenue generators and employment providers. Maximum efforts are being made to facilitate business community.
These were the views of Governor Punjab Muhammad Rafique Rajwana, during a meeting of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI). He said FPCCI has always provided solid assistance to the Government in its efforts to promote exports, encourage foreign investment and stimulate economic activity in the Country.
“The Business Community of Pakistan is playing a proactive role in the economic prosperity of the Country; however, there are some concerns of the business community of Pakistan over China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Government is planning to formulate a committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor to address the concerns”, he added.
Governor Punjab said he is well aware of the problem of business community and assured his full support and cooperation for the arrangement of FPCCI Regional office Lahore Land, as the economic prosperity of the country is directly connected with the prosperity of the business community. He added Governor House is wholeheartedly open to assist the business community in solving their issues and concerns.
Manzoor ul Haq Malik Regional Chairman and Vice President FPCCI said our economy is facing poverty, unemployment, international traveling hurdles, SROs and other taxations (FBR) issues. Businesses are being discouraged by government institutions. Manufacturers are facing a number of problems regarding, high Cost of doing business, ease of doing business, FBR, and energy crises.
Atta-Ur-Rehman, Vice President FPCCI said that Government is day by day imposing new taxes without the intimation of business community it is really creating tensions in the business world and the businessmen are getting disheartened and demotivated it should be noticed. Iftikhar Ali
Malik highlighted the requirement of Land for FPCCI Lahore office building which was supported by Governor Punjab by saying he will provide all needful in the process. The gathering appreciated Governor’s commitment to support the business community.The event was attended by the large number of the business community of Pakistan.
