Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan was incomplete without Balochistan. He said this while talking to a group of 173 students and faculty members from various educational institutions of Balochistan met the COAS at the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate. While interacting with the youth, the COAS said Pakistan cannot progress without peace and stability in Balochistan. He termed the youth as Pakistan’s most precious asset and urged them to contribute to the national integration and progress by performing a positive role. COAS advised the students to never get misguided by anti-state propaganda being engineered by certain anti-state elements from abroad with the support of hostile foreign agencies. He also advised the youth to focus on their education, work hard and dispel negativity. The COAS said that Balochistan was blessed with the most talented and vibrant youth, adding that and future of Pakistan belongs to them
Reaffirming education as national priority, the COAS said, “We will do our best to provide wholehearted support towards the attainment of the national objective.” The establishment of NUST campus in Quetta was a step towards that end, he added. The COAS assured the students that Pakistan Army was committed to providing them with a safe, secure and stable Pakistan. Pakistan Army is capable to meet all internal and external challenges and no one can dare to cast an evil eye on Pakistan. Army has achieved great success in ridding the country of violence and terrorism, the army chief added.
The COAS also mentioned development projects the Pakistan Army had initiated with the support of the government for development of the province, including communications infrastructure, schools and cadet colleges. The students applauded the state of morale, commitment and professional competence of the Pakistan Army. They assured the COAS of their commitment towards a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan. Chief of Army Staff has rightly raised the importance of Balochistan for the country. Balochistan had become the hub of conspiracies of enemies. Indians and others were using local terror groups against Pakistan and were misguiding local youth. Thanks to the contributions of Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies, situation in province is coming back to normalcy. The writ of the state in the province is now strengthening. Hideouts of terrorists and networks of anti state elements have been dismantled. Now the gains of operations should be consolidated and civil and military institutions should continue their best efforts to clean the province from anti state consiparacies.
