Islamabad: Bilateral trade volume between Pakistan and India among 10 SAARC countries surpassed 2 billion dollars during previous fiscal year (2107).
According to the Statistics of State Bank of Pakistan during previous financial year Pakistan bilateral trade with India has been recorded 49 percent in overall trade with all member countries of SAARC. Pak-Afghan trade ratio has been recorded 28 per cent. On the other hand, Pak-Bangladesh bilateral trade remained 16 per cent while the others SAARC countries trade volume was registered 7 per cent.
Economy experts said that Pakistan has great potential for bolstering bilateral trade with other SAARC countries and it should evolve strategy on this count.
