Lahore: The petition seeking early hearing of the contempt of court case against Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i- Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan was filed on Thursday.
The petitioner took plea in his petition that High Court had stopped Imran Khan from staging unconstitutional long march in 2014; however he staged long march despite court orders.
The petitioner said that PTI chief did not comply with court order and this non compliance on his part falls in the ambit of contempt of court.

He prayed to court to issue order for initiation of contempt of court proceedings against Imran Khan.
It is worth mentioning here that Imran Khan and Election Commission (EC) have been made party in the petition.

LHC registrar returns with objection contempt of court plea filed against Nawaz
Lahore September 28 (Online): The Registrar office of Lahore High Court (LHC) returned with objection contempt of court petition filed by social activist against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
As per media reports , a social worker Amna Malik had filed petition taking the plea that ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif was continuously criticizing Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) and its judges which falls under the contempt of court law, therefore, the court should take action against Nawaz Sharif.
The registrar office returned the application with the objection that the high court’s August 24 order was not attached with the application.
