GENEVA: (PR) All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) convener Syed Faiz Naqshbandi addressed the 36th session of Human Rights Council (HRC). He said that the Jammu and Kashmir is United Nations recognised disputed territory for which United Nations had passed various resolutions giving the people of Jammu and Kashmir, their birth right to self-determination. In addition, India agreed upon these UN resolutions, thus making these as international agreements of binding force.
But sadly, Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir by sheer use of force which it continues up till now with wide spread of human right violation.
Under the garb of Cordon and Search OperationIndian forces are committing massive human right abuses. Youth are being systematically killed in fake encounters. Freedom of expression is completely snatched. Peaceful protests are attacked by indiscriminate bullet and pellet firing. Internet and social media applications are blocked frequently so that world may not know the violations by forces. India is pursuing its policy to change the demography of Kashmir to defeat the UN resolutions.
All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders MirwaizDr. Umar Farooq, Syed Ali Gillani, Mohammad Yasin Malik, Shabir Ahmed Shah, Ms. AsiyaAndrabi, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza and others are victimised, harassed and involved in fabricated case by New Delhi based NIA for their character assassination. The Government of India had enacted a series of laws that facilitates human right violations with complete impunity.
I urge the Council to impress upon India to abide by international human rights standards and allow UN fact finding Mission to Kashmir for investigation of human rights violation.
