Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Ahmed Khan has said that the probability of war between the civilizations was growing since the United Nations has miserably failed to implement the guiding principles of the system which was developed by the highest body way back in 1945 after the two world wars.

“Unfortunately this system is heading towards failure”, the AJK president said adding that extremism was on the rise because the world politics was hugely dominated by religion. Referring to rise of right wing politics in the world he said that in America, India and some European countries the right wing parties were becoming more popular than ever.
“People believing in extremist ideologies have come to power as a result the entire world-system was at the brink of disaster”, Khan said adding that the rising tide of intolerance shattered the dream of peace and stability and the world was drifting towards crisis.

In an interview to a foreign news agency he said that the non-resolution of Palestine and Kashmir was a manifestation of the UN failure. Replying to a query he said that designating Hizb-ul-Mujahideen and its Chief Syed Sallahudin as global terrorists would not affect Kashmiris freedom struggle.

He said that Kashmiris’ struggle for right to self-determination was a peaceful, legitimate indigenous struggle. He said that it was unfortunate that the world community was silent on the sufferings of Kashmiri people.
