LAHORE: While welcoming the revival of international cricket in Pakistan, star all-rounder Shahid Afridi has said a positive message would have been given to the world had Indian players been included in World XI squad.
Shahid Afridi termed the tour of the World XI very vital and said other international teams will start visiting Pakistan after the success of these matches.
Afridi maintained that the credit of bringing international cricket back in country goes to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi, and told that he will watch the first match live at Gaddafi Stadium.
It is worth mentioning here that the World XI squad comprising 13 players from seven top cricket-playing nations landed Lahore early Monday amid massive security, with Pakistan hoping the tour will end years of international isolation.
Pakistan team will be in action against the World XI on September 12, 13 and 15 in three Twenty20 encounters, and all the matches are schedule to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium.
