Islamabad: The Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter, today, organized a protest demonstration outside National Press Club, Islamabad, against the increasing human rights violations including arrests, harassments and crackdowns in occupied Kashmir by Indian forces.
Addressing the protesters, the speakers condemned the recent killing spree particularly in Srinagar, Islamabad, Pulwama, Kulgam, Shopian, Budgam, Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara by Indian forces and said that killings and arrest could not suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom sentiment.
They also continued arrest of Hurriyat leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Shahid-ul-Islam, Peer Saifullah, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Merajuddin Kalwal, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Farooq Ahmad Dar by the Indian authorities.
The speakers included Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, Altaf Ahmad Butt, Shamim Shawl, Abdul Hameed Lone, Abdul Majeed Malik, Shiekh Muhammad Yaqoob, Mian Muzaffar, Saleem Haroon and the leaders of AJK Muslim Conference.
