Islamabad: The out-of-order cooling system at the CDA Hospital is a cause of severe inconvenience to both, patients and attendants. The sources have disclosed that the contractor has demanded Rs. 6 million for the immediate restoration of the out of order system but the hospital administration was avoiding the issuers and given different advice to patient’s relatives. The patients relatives asked either to make shift their patients to other hospital or to themselves make arrangements of alternative cooling system.

Operation theatres and intensive care units (ICUs) are the worst-affected, as procedures have been delayed because of the cooling system. The sources further reiterated that the hospital administration has to pay due amount of Rs. 10.80 million to the contractor and the matter was unsolved for past one year.

The concerned contractor had raised this matter through written complaints but the concerned authority did not paid any heed towards the issue. On contact the Executive Director Fayyaz Lodhi has confirmed that hospital cooling system was order of order and added that hospital administration making arrangements for the availability of funds. On the other hand the Deputy Mayor Islamabad Zeeshan Naqvi said that the matter was not in his knowledge and added that he take up this issue today Monday.
