Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan on Monday left for Europe on his week long official visit. During his stay in Brussels, the AJK president would meet EU Parliamentarians, Pakistani Community and leaders of Kashmiri Diaspora community settled in Belgium.

According to a handout issued here on Monday, President Masood Khan will have a meeting with Belgium’s Foreign Affairs Committee chairman and members of the EU parliament. On the first leg of his four-nation tour Khan will address an International Kashmir Conference in Belgium being hosted by Amjad Bashir the member EU Parliament.

On the second leg of his week long tour president would leave for Germany wherein he is scheduled to meet members of Kashmiri and Pakistani Diaspora community.
Later he will deliver a speech at a seminar on the subject of “Establishing Durable Peace in South Asia” being hosted by Institute of Cultural Diplomacy. He is also scheduled to address the University students.

The AJK president would be visiting Madrid on Wednesday wherein he would brief members of prominent Spanish think-tank about the prevailing political and human rights situation in occupied Kashmir. During his stay president will have a meeting with José Ramón García and other intellectuals in Spain. He will also attend different functions being organized in Barcelona.

Before his departure at international airport the AJK president said that the basic purpose of his visit was to apprise the international community of the worsening situation in Kashmir. He expressed the hope that being champions of human rights the European Countries, HR defenders and the respective governments would take serious notice of war crimes being committed against the people of occupied Kashmir.
