Brussels: The Chairman of Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) Ali Raza Syed has paid glowing tribute to Martyr Burhan Muzaffar Wani who was martyred by Indian occupation forces during a fake encounter last year in South Kashmir.

According to a press statement issued here on Friday the Chairman KC-EU said that martyr Wani has added a new page in the ongoing freedom movement. Syed said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not go waste. “These sacrifices provided a new life in the struggle and people of Kashmir would never give up rather they will continue to pursue their cherished goal of freedom from Indian occupation”, he said.

About the resolution of Kashmir dispute, he said that unless the people’s aspirations were addressed with sincerity, no other measures would be fruitful for the settlement of the long-pending dispute. “It is clear by the people of Kashmir that they wanted their right of self-determination in order to have freedom from Indian occupation”, Mr Ali Raza Syed said.
He warned that by killing people and committing crimes against the humanity in the occupied Kashmir, India can not stop the peaceful movement of Kashmiris. “The people of Kashmir are struggling for their rights accepted under UN Security Council’s resolutions and as per a promise committed by the Indian Authorities”, he added.

He also denounced Indian atrocities against the people of Kashmir including extra judicial killings and the house arrest and detention of a number of leaders in the held valley. The statement also deplored last year massive use of pellet guns which caused killing and blinding the people specially youth. Chairman Kashmir Council EU also demanded the world community to stop atrocities against the innocent and peaceful people of Kashmir.
