Islamabad: (Parliament Times) While terming capital city as a hub of business and trade activities the Chairman, CDA / Mayor MCI Sheikh Ansar Aziz has said that no stone will be left unturned in making this area according to the international standards by providing all modern amenities and infrastructure.

The CDA chairman made these remarks while meeting a delegation of All Traders Welfare Association, Blue Area, which was led by M. Akram Farid, Patron in-chief, Malik Saghir, Chairman and President Yousaf Rajput. Chairman said that basic necessities and infrastructure will be provided so that traders and buyers may do their business in proper and modern environment. He told that the Blue Area will be modernized according to the vision of PM Nawaz Sharif. The carpeting of front service road will be started within a week. He also told that rectification of street lights will be completed within two months and also new lights will be installed shortly.
The delegation briefed the Chairman, CDA about time to time traffic blockage and difficult access of customers to the market has substantially decreased their sale about which Shekh Ansar Aziz told that the concerned department will conduct survey of the area to construct U-turn and underpass so that time may be saved and the aspiring customers may divert to the Blue Area easily. “Discussions about this issue are already under way between CDA and Metro Bus Authority”, he said.
Malik Saghir drew attention towards parking issue in Blue Area on which the Chairman, CDA directed for providing parking facilities in the green area. Also, steps will be taken to provide water filtration plant and piece of land for mosque which will be done with mutual consultation of CDA and All Tragers Welfare Association, Blue Area.
The Chairman, CDA also agreed to construct pedestrian bridge and renovation of pavement.
Syed Amin Pirzada, Group Chairman also brought into notice about the impediments in extension of lease agreement about which the Chairman, CDA reacted positively and said that necessary steps will be taken to address this issue also. Raja Hasan Akhtar, General Secretary assured that the traders will fully support during the up-coming plantation drive.
Sadiq Masood, Sheikh Kaleem, Amin Pirzada, , Sheikh Saleem, Chaudhry Aslam, Yousaf khan Balti and Chaudhry Waseem Ahmed appreciated the historical steps taken by the Chairman, CDA and hoped that as he is solving the problems quickly and efficiently, the Blue Area will soon become model business hub. .
