Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) A meeting of Pakistan Hindu Sikh Social welfare council was held here on Wednesday, which was attended by a large number of members hailing from the respective communities.
Addressing the meeting, President of the Council, Mr. Sardar Heera Lal said that our holy places have been occupied [Temples and graveyards] by Land mafia. “Who are these people who disrespect the sacred places? I have been informed that Swami Narain Mander situated in Gawalmandi has been closed. This Mander must be returned to Hindu community for their worshipâ€, he said.
“We appeal to the concerned authorities that our holy places must be handed over to our council for better look after to the sacred placesâ€, he added.
The PHSSC head appealed the Prime Minister, Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif and all Hindu MNAs, MPAs that a stern and prompt action must be taken against the culprits involved in this crime. Kanya Lal, Ranghi Ram and Mohan Lal Cayshapy and others also addressed the meeting.
