ISLAMABAD: (Parliament Times) Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has decided to appear before the Joint Investigation Team on Thursday, formed to probe into Panama Papers case.
This was stated by Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb, while talking to PTV.
She said the third-time elected Prime Minister of the country will present himself for his accountability to uphold rule of law and the constitution.
The minister of state said despite reservations, Sharif family is appearing before the JIT, which is a testimony of Nawaz Sharif’s belief in accountability, rule of law and the supremacy of the constitution.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said Sharif family had been running their businesses since 60’s when Nawaz Sharif held no public office and the relevant record of their financial transactions is available with Federal Board of Revenue.
