Forward Kuhuta: (Parliament Times) Denouncing in strong terms the Indian forces’ intermittent and unprovoked firing across the line of control the prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that the India’s nefarious design behind this naked aggression was to create a large-scale displacement of civilian population.
The AJK premier made these assertions while addressing a public gathering at Dara Haji Peer here on Friday. “Let it be resolutely clear that over a half million people living across the line of control shall stand shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan armed forces in defending the country besides foiling India’s nefarious designsâ€, the prime minister said adding that village defense committees were being setup in all villages adjacent to the LoC to ensure round the clock vigil. He said that in the upcoming budget special development funds would be allocated for the development of remote areas so as to provide the provisions of basic amenities to the people settled in the villages alongside the ceasefire line.
Terming LoC as a bloody line he said that every Kashmiri was anxiously waiting for the fall of this ominous line that has divided Kashmiri nation. Lauding the sacrifices rendered by Kashmiri people Khan said that Kashmiris in Indian held Kashmir have rendered matchless sacrifices and day was not far when they will achieve their cherished goal and the people of the divided state will be able to meet in tension free atmosphere. He said that earlier by conducting atomic tests the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif made the country’s defense highly impregnable and now his government took historic initiatives to revive the country’s economy. He said that owing to incumbent regime’s economic policies the GDP has surpassed 5% growth rate after 10 years.
On his maiden visit to Bedi village, the AJK premier was accorded warm welcome by the officials and soldiers of Pakistan Army. The Pakistan Army officials on the occasion briefed the AJK Prime Minister about the latest situation on the LoC. Hailing the sacrifices of civilian population the AJK prime minister said that the people living across the line of control have rendered great sacrifices and bore the brunt of Indian naked aggression over the past several years. He said that a big chunk of civilian population has stood shoulder to shoulder with armed forces of Pakistan while discharging their duties to defend the country. He said that the sacrifice rendered by the people will not go in vain as the day was not far when people of divided state of Jammu and Kashmir will get together and become part of Pakistan.
He said that India was exposed at international level by staging a bogus drama of surgical strikes on the LoC. He also issued special directives to civil administration officials to take appropriate measures to address problems faced by the local population. Announcing many development projects the prime minister on the occasion said that a road from Dra Haji Peer to Khawaja Bandi would be constructed under National Program, whereas Chairlift project from Doba to Sanderbar, establishment of Bank and Post Office at Bedhi, providing SCOM Mobile and providing basic health care services and other basic needs to the people were the basic aim and objectives of incumbent regime.
