Islamabad:(Parliament Times) Appreciating the huge increase in the developmental budget for Azad Kashmir, the president of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan on Saturday expressed complete satisfaction over the Government of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s continued priority given to development projects, education and health sectors deemed critical to the country’s economy.The AJK President made these assertions while talking to different delegations at Kashmir House Islamabad yesterday. The President expressed the optimism that the upcoming budget will be positive and strive to boost human development. “We are making a new beginning. With renewed confidence and by the Grace of Allah, we are bound to succeed. A strong Pakistan is the best guarantee for the success of the cause of Kashmir”, Khan said. . He added that in Azad Kashmir itself the two pressing priorities are good governance and rapid economic development. The new AJK Government he said was determined to pursue them and it has the full support of the government of Pakistan in its endeavors. Masood Khan reiterated his strong resolve to work for the realization of the right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “Azad Kashmir is free, but the Indian Occupied Kashmir is subjugated. Our Kashmiri brothers and sisters are passing through one of the darkest period of history. We would use Azad Kashmir as a platform to strive for their rights”, the AJK president said.
