Islamabad:(Parliament Times) The death anniversary of renowned leader and founding member of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Sardar Rashid Hasrat (late) would be observed on 16 May 2017.
JKLF deputy secretary S M Ibraheem in a press statement said that “Independent Kashmir Rally†would be held at 11:00 am, whereas a public procession would be organized at college ground Rawalakot tomorrow (16 May 2017) to pay eulogizing tributes and homage to this brave son of the soil who never compromised his ideals despite facing many challenges. He said that the Public procession would be attended and addressed by JKLF activists as well as the leaders of nationalist parties of the region.
S M Ibraheen said that “It was in lie of his peerless contribution to the freedom movement that JKLF awarded him an honorary title as Baba-e-Khudmukhtar. He said that his unwavering struggle was a beacon of light and guidance for the people Kashmir.
It may be recalled here that Sardar Rashid Hasrat was a passionate freedom fighter who dedicated his entire life for the freedom movement of Kashmir and till his last breath remained wedded to the sacred cause.
