Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) The Punjab Education Department has imposed a ban on transfer and new hiring of teachers for the government education institutions across the Rawalpindi Division.
According to orders, the hiring and transfer process ongoing has been stopped and will remain suspended till further orders of department. The District Education Authority of all the seven teshils have been directed to stop the process, hence, the implementation on over 300 applications have been stopped, due to which the process is pending till the further orders.

The teachers associations of Murree, Kahuta, Kalar Syedan, Rawalpindi, Gujar Khan and Taxila have condemned the move of Education Department and have announced to protest against the ban. The teachers associations have lashed out at the poor policies of department saying that the department had given orders of fulfilling shortage of staff just few days and now they have taken U-turn on their decision.

The Teachers Association have demanded the Chief Minister Punjab to the lift the ban on transfer and hiring.
